The condition of floor joints or expansion joints is seldom considered in may new and even existing facilities.
In particular transverse joints running across VNA can be particularly problematic if poorly maintained. Joints with a gap in excess of 10mm could be considered unacceptable for a forklift.
Regular inspection of joints should be carried out in order to reduce the wear and tear on truck tyres, wheels and the trucks themselves.
